Games Pitch

3D Games Pitch

The game I am currently working on is a 3D Adventure RPG.  It will be made using the Unreal Development Kit (UDK). The basis of the story for this game is that you are a hero, and you have been abducted by the villain so that you cant foil his latest evil scheme,will his fatal error be that he brought his greatest enemy to his evil hideout? The setting is the massive  castle named Castle Spire, it is a large castle, balanced on a large stone spire. You are a hero, you have no name and are just referred to as hero, you were the kings most reputable body guard.Your enemy and kidnapper is called "The Duke" has planned to assassinate the king, and by abducting you, he has severely weakened the kings protection. You must escape that castle and kill the assassin before he leaves the castle grounds.  At the beginning of the game the player will wake up in a castle dungeon and throughout the game the main objective is to escape the castle by working out the maze of corridors and halls and by gaining the keys that open each door that you need to open to progress. The entire game will be within the castle and its grounds so this will obviously need to be quite a large castle.

The main features of the game will include fighting enemies called bandits, solving mazes and finding keys to open doors to get out of the castle. What I hope to achieve in my gameplay is to make the game in 1st person view, this puts the player in the characters position and makes the game feel more realistic in the fight scenes. The theme will be a medieval theme, so there won’t be guns and bombs it will be swords and other melee weapons. Power ups i hope to include are better swords and other weapons , armor and health bonuses, however this is a hostile environment so there will not be any friendly NPCs.
